Jennifer Black IBCLC
Jennifer became passionate about pregnancy, birth, and postpartum work through her own varied experiences. Jennifer is an IBCLC, Birth Doula, Newborn and Postpartum Doula, Lamaze Certified Childbirth Educator, Certified Passenger Safety Technician, and American Heart Association CPR/BLS Instructor. Jennifer has 3 associate degrees in science, psychology, and sociology, a Bachelors of Science in Maternal Child Health, and Masters level nursing education. She served as the South Carolina Breastfeeding Coalition Education Chair from 2016-2018. As an IBCLC she has 11 years work experience in public health, private practice, outpatient, and as a hospital educator. Jennifer’s IBCLC specialties include food allergies, oral tethers (tongue, lip, and cheek ties), milk supply concerns, latch difficulties, induced lactation/relactation, pumping/flange fit, and infant weight concerns. She also has extensive training in telehealth lactation care (over 3500 virtual consultations completed) and can treat 99.9% of issues virtually!. Her goal is to provide evidence based, non judgmental, and culturally competent care to all families. In her personal life Jennifer has 5 children and breastfed for 110 months total of her life!
